There is no such thing as the perfect dog. But still we will try to get as close to what we see as the perfect Staffordshire Bull Terrier for us. We’re not in a rush, because we think it’s more important to reach the goals we’ve set. Our goal with the kennel is to breed healthy and active staffords with good physical and mental health. We will also emphasize that to preserve the function and properties of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and we are willing to reach far to find the right mate for implementing a mating.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is not only a show dog, although it its greatest area of use today. For us the Staffordshire Bull Terrier should be able to perform a broad spectrum of physical activities. It must have a functional body and build, to be able to do so. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier should not have any larger structural flaws, it should have good angulation, correct bone and a distinct waist. It should have a nice deep and not too tight or airy chest. It should have good muzzle lenght, so that the respiration function can work properly. We think otherwise it is important to preserve a certain bulldog phenotype, ie they should look like a Staffordshire BULL Terrier, and shall be recognized as on!

With the Staffordshire Bull Terrier we don’t have to worry that much about illness, but as any other race this race has it’s uncertainties. A growing problem for the breed in Norway is Hip Dysplasia. Although a Stafford (after our own experience) can be both active and live a good life with Hip Dysplasia, we see no reason to breed on an already growing problem, which also can be inherited. All dogs we use in breeding will be free of HC and L2-HGA, and in addition be eye checked free of PHPV / PHTVL. We will never breed dogs with skin-problems, back-problems or other uncertainties.

We will only sell a few of the puppies we breed. We ourselves will also keep at least one of the offspring. This is because we only mach the dogs we want offspring of so that we can learn as much as possible about the dogs we use, and how their inheritance and genetics get passed on.
